Mystery powder lab

Make a title page  "Mystery Powder Lab", a picture colored, name, date, group

Attach in this order:  Title page, data table (station 1 toward front), Analysis (question 1 toward front) and rubric.

Powder Properties information:
Salt:  does not react with vinegar or iodine, has a crystal shape, less soluble than sugar.

Sugar:  does not react with vinegar, crystal shape, very soluble in water, dissolves in vinegar, truns brown when heated.

Baking Soda:  Reacts with vinegar(produces a gas), does not react with iodine, does not have a crystal shape, slightly soluble in water.

Corn Starch:  reacts with iodine, does not react with vinegar (gets thick, then hard), no crystal shape, insouble in water

Plaster of Paris:  Reacts with vinegar (produces a gas), turned grey with water, reacts with iodine(turned lighter brown), has not crystal shape, melts-then hardens in water and vinegar.


lab report due Tuesday except Yellow group (due Wednesday)
