(especially constant velocity, zero velocity, positive and negative acceleration
graphing:
know what variables are
calculate for acceleration using the formula: final velocity - initial velocity
final time - initial time

Mystery powder lab
Make a title page "Mystery Powder Lab", a picture colored, name, date, group
Attach in this order: Title page, data table (station 1 toward front), Analysis (question 1 toward front) and rubric.
Powder Properties information:
Salt: does not react with vinegar or iodine, has a crystal shape, less soluble than sugar.
Sugar: does not react with vinegar, crystal shape, very soluble in water, dissolves in vinegar, truns brown when heated.
Baking Soda: Reacts with vinegar(produces a gas), does not react with iodine, does not have a crystal shape, slightly soluble in water.
Corn Starch: reacts with iodine, does not react with vinegar (gets thick, then hard), no crystal shape, insouble in water
Plaster of Paris: Reacts with vinegar (produces a gas), turned grey with water, reacts with iodine(turned lighter brown), has not crystal shape, melts-then hardens in water and vinegar.
lab report due Tuesday except Yellow group (due Wednesday)

THE TEST IS BEING CHANGED FROM FRIDAY, 10/24 TO MONDAY, 10/27.
There are 21 multiple choice questions in which some include diagrams, and one essay question (see below)
STUDY GUIDE:
KNOW THE FOLLOWING TERMS:
structual adaptation
natural selection
evolution

extinction after a major environmental change example
ESSAY: Give an example supporting the concept that certain traits of an organism may provide a survival advantage in a specific environment and therefore increase the likelihood it will survive to produce offspring. Discuss the organism, the trait, the environment, and how that traits helps the organism survive over other organisms of the same species.
